Salmon Arm, B.C. – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are happy to announce the extension of Assistant Coach/Goalie Coach, Angus Redmond.
“Angus has done a tremendous job with our goalies and building himself as a young coach in junior hockey,” said Silverbacks GM, Brooks Christensen. “He’s developed a lot as a coach these past two years and look forward to seeing him take another step heading into next season. We’re extremely fortunate to have Angus work daily with our goalies, he did a great job pushing Eli, Ryan, & Tyson this year, and look to continue that mindset into next year.”
Redmond is looking to build on the success from the past two seasons.
“I am very excited to be joining the Salmon Arm Silverbacks for another season,” said Redmond. “With the returning group of talented players and dedicated staff, I look forward to building on the successes of this past year and striving for even greater achievements together.”
As a former Silverbacks alumni, Redmond will be heading into his third season as Goalie Coach with the team and second as an Assistant Coach.
Previous to joining the Silverbacks coaching staff in the 2022-2023 season, Redmond spent time playing pro in the American Hockey League and the East Coast Hockey League. Redmond is no stranger to the Silverbacks and the BCHL, spending four years with the organization before heading on to Michigan Tech in the NCAA.
