Silverbacks Assistant Coach Kip Noble returning to the team

Salmon Arm, B.C. – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are happy to announce the extension of Assistant Coach, Kip Noble.

“We’re very fortunate to have Kip returning to our coaching staff,” said Silverbacks GM, Brooks Christensen. “Since joining our program, he’s done a great job developing our players on the ice, and off the ice with their academics. Kip has a great presence with the players and we look forward to working with him again this season.”

Noble is heading into his second season with the Silverbacks and is excited for more team success.

“I am eager and excited to get back working with the guys,” said Noble. “After everything we accomplished last season, I expect big things from our group this year. Losing in the Interior Finals left a bad taste in my mouth and this season can’t start soon enough so we can once again challenge for the BCHL Championship.”

During his first season with the organization during the 2022-23 season, Noble helped lead the team to their first conference finals appearance since the 2008-09 season. The Dawson Creek native has also spent time coaching with the Okanagan Hockey Academy.

Noble is a former successful player in his own right. He played four years with Michigan Tech (MTU) in the NCAA, where he holds the school record for most points by a defenseman, scoring 123 points in 156 games. This led him to be inducted into the MTU Hall of Fame. Noble then went on to play 11 years of professional hockey worldwide, including the Netherlands, Wales, and England, while playing a season in the former Central Ontario Hockey League (CoHL).
