Silverbacks add more offensive firepower for 2024/25

Salmon Arm, B.C. – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks have signed forward Liam Bursaw (’07) for the 2024/25 season.

Bursaw played the season with the Warman Wildcats U18 AAA team where the talented forward averaged well over a point-per-game, with 22 goals and 32 assists for 54 points in 44 games.

“Liam is a talented young player that we feel can help us at both ends of the ice next season,” said Silverbacks GM, Brooks Christensen, “He’s tough to play against, competes hard, and has great offensive instincts. It will be good for Liam to join the team in the playoffs and get familiar with the team on and off the ice.”

The 17-year-old Saskatchewan native played in the Circle K Classic this year and had four points in 5 games played. Bursaw is joining the team as a Black Ace, meaning he can be added to the active roster for the playoffs.

“I am honoured to be apart of the Silverbacks and I am ready to get going with the club,” said Bursaw. “It’s going to be a great opportunity. I think I am going to be able to make a difference and be a contributor for the organization.”

The Silverbacks would like to welcome Liam and his family to the organization and to Salmon Arm!
