Salmon Arm, B.C. – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks have signed defenseman Ben Macbeath (’08) for the 2024/25 season.
Macbeath played with the Edge School U18 Prep team in the CCSHL where the young defenseman put up a total of 6 goals and 23 assists for 29 points in 26 games. His team won the CSSHL’s U18 Prep Western Championship where the 16-year-old had 6 points in 5 playoff games.
“Ben is an outstanding young player that we are thrilled to have apart of our 24-25 roster,” said Silverbacks GM, Brooks Christensen Coming off a strong year with a championship finish, we feel Ben will be able to translate into our lineup perfectly. Ben’s a mobile defenseman with a strong hockey IQ & vision, we feel Silverbacks fans will really enjoy watching him play for our program!”
The Calgary, Alberta product also played in this years WHL Cup as part of team Alberta where he had 3 points in 5 games. His team also competed in the Circle K Classic.
