Silverbacks acquire Max Ranström from Prince George

Salmon Arm, B.C. – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks have acquired D Max Ranström (’04) from the Prince George Spruce Kings in exchange for D Aidan Souligny (’06) and future considerations.

Ranström, from Filipstad Sweden, has scored 6 goals and 13 assists for 19 points in 23 games with the Spruce Kings. The Lake Superior State University commit spent last year playing in J20 Nationell in Sweden, putting up 14 points in 36 games.

The Silverbacks would like to welcome Max and his family to the organization and the City.

Heading back the other way is 18-year-old Aidan Souligny. In 25 games with the Silverbacks, the Navan Ontario product had two assists.

“Aidan is a good young player with a bright future in our league,” said Silverbacks GM, Brooks Christensen. “With our current injury situations we felt it was needed to get some veteran experience. We felt this was in our best interest for our organization at this point.”

The Salmon Arm Silverbacks organization would like to thank Aidan for his continuous hard work and determination to represent the Silverbacks organization and wish him nothing but the best in Prince George.
