Silverbacks Acquire Joynt

SALMON ARM B.C.: The Salmon Arm Silverbacks have acquired '03 forward Barret Joynt from the OJHL Wellington Dukes in exchange for future considerations.

The Kingston, Ontario native played 54-games with the Dukes last year and posted 22-goals and 19-assists for 41-points. The 5-foot-11, 155 pound left winger was also drafted #55 overall by the New Mexico Ice Wolves in this year's NAHL Entry Draft.

“Adding Barret to our group adds to the culture we are building, high character teammate that can contribute in all aspects of the game, said Silverbacks GM Brooks Christensen. "We look forward to fans getting to know him on and off the ice."

Joynt says he looks forward to suiting up for the Silverbacks this season.

"Playing in the BCHL has always been a goal of mine and I couldn’t be happier and more excited to be joining an organization as well respected as Salmon Arm. Salmon Arm is known for developing their players and moving them onto the next level and that's what I strive to do, as well as to win a championship along the way.”

Please join us in welcoming Barret and his family to the Salmon Arm Silverbacks organization.
