Road Trip Ends With Another Defeat

The SilverBacks will return to Salmon Arm without a point from this weekend's three game road trip, following losses in Powell River, Friday, Alberni Valley, on Saturday, and Cowichan Valley, on Sunday.

Landon Smith had Salmon Arm's lone marker on Sunday, in a 2-1 loss at the hands of the Capitals, who came from behind for the victory on home ice.

Angus Redmond made 11 saves in the 2nd Period, for the 'Backs, and 27 on the Afternoon, in his 1st start of the weekend.

Cowichan's Matthew Berry and Taylor Allen scored in the 2nd, and 3rd Periods, respectively, to propel the Capitals past Salmon Arm.

All three of the game's goals were scored on the power-play, and those odds favoured Cowichan Valley, as the SilverBacks were short-handed five times.

The 'Backs will now look to regroup before a pair of home games next weekend, against Alberni Valley on Friday, and Vernon on Sunday.
