Alex Jewell had the 'Backs lone goal of the contest, but it wasn't enough, as the Kings potted a goal in each Period of game.
Lucas Grayson, Kurt Keats, and Luke Nogard had the Powell River goals on the evening, while Salmon Arm's Adam Clark made 32 saves in a losing effort.
Clark was named as the 3rd star of the game, in his first start since the Holiday break.
The 'Backs Landon Smith assisted on Salmon Arm's only goal, giving him 62 points on the season as he continues to lead the league in points and goals.
Salmon Arm visits Port Alberni on Saturday, and Cowichan Valley on Sunday.
