Salmon Arm, B.C. – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are pleased to announce the hiring of Zach Stewart, as the team’s Play-by-Play Broadcaster and Communications Manager for the upcoming 2023-24 season.
“We’re excited to add Zach to our business operations,” said Silverbacks GM Brooks Christensen “He’s eager to learn and we believe he will continue to build his skills in all aspects of the business side while supporting the hockey side with his play-by-play.”
Stewart is continuing his broadcasting and communications career after spending the 2022-2023 season with the Merritt Centennials.
“It is an honour to take on a bigger role within a hockey organization like the Salmon Arm Silverbacks,” said Stewart. “I look forward to working with the team and with the community to create another successful season. Thank you to the organization for this opportunity ”
Coming from Alberta, Stewart graduated from the Radio, Television, and Broadcast News program at SAIT before bouncing around the province, spending time in cities like Prince George, Nelson, and Merritt.
