Goalie Coach Redmond signs an extension

Salmon Arm, B.C. – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are happy to announce the extension of Goalie Coach, Angus Redmond.

“We are thrilled to have Angus continuing on with our program,” said Silverbacks GM Brooks Christensen. “He has fit in perfectly with our staff and did a great job working with our group in his first year. We are very fortunate to have a guy like Angus working with our players and excited to see the development of our goalies this upcoming season!”

Redmond is excited to continue the development of the goalies here in Salmon Arm.

“I am very excited to be back for another year with the Silverbacks,” said Redmond. “I look forward to continuing to learn from all the amazing Silverbacks staff and grow as a coach. With the players we have returning and the new additions, it’s an exciting time to be a part of the organization and I would love to bring a championship to Salmon Arm. Thank you to the Silverbacks fans for the support, can’t wait to see you all at the Shaw Centre again soon!”

As a former Silverbacks alumni, Redmond will be heading into his second season as Goalie Coach with the team.

Previous to joining the Silverbacks coaching staff in the 2022-2023 season, Redmond spent time playing pro in the American Hockey League and the East Coast Hockey League. Redmond is no stranger to the Silverbacks and the BCHL, spending four years with the organization before heading on to Michigan Tech in the NCAA.
