Salmon Arm, BC: The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are pleased to announce defenceman Michael Ladyman has committed to the Mount Royal Cougars for the upcoming Canada West Universities Athletic Association hockey season.
“We are happy for Michael to be continuing on his hockey career at such a great program” says General Manager Brooks Christensen. “Mount Royal is getting an extremely skilled defensemen who should help contribute offensively.”
Ladyman had an excellent 20-year-old season with the Silverbacks, finishing his junior career with 43-points in 52 games.
The Winnipeg native says he’s looking forward to joining the cougars:
“Mount Royal was an easy choice for me. Strong program who has lots to build off of last season and a top end coaching staff who are going to help me succeed as a student and further my hockey career.”
