Salmon Arm, B.C. – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks returned home for game 3 against the West Kelowna Warriors.

The Silverbacks were able to grab a couple of huge goals in the first period to take the lead. Halfway through the opening frame, Jonah Aegerter gets sent on a brief breakaway and makes no mistake, sliding the puck between the legs of Matthew DellaRusso for the early 1-0 lead. In the final two minutes of the first period, Cole Cooksey picks off a pass in the offensive zone and sends a laser over the glove hand side of DellaRusso, to push the lead to 2-0.

The second period was controlled by the Warriors in every area. The Silverbacks took three penalties in the middle frame, giving the number one powerplay plenty of opportunities. Taking advantage of the final penalty, in the final two minutes, with Tristan Allen in the box for roughing, Jack Pridham fires a puck in the slot to the twine to cut into the lead, 2-1. In the second period, the Warriors outshot the Silverbacks, 18-6.

The Silverbacks bent but did not break in the third period to hold onto the lead. Neither team found the back of the net or took a penalty in the final frame.

Despite getting outshot, 43-16, Eli Pulver was able to stop 42 of them and help the Silverbacks take the 2-1 series lead.
