2nd Period Home Woes

The Salmon Arm SilverBacks will look to again find their winning ways on a two game Mainland Division road trip; next weekend, following Saturday's 7-4 loss on home ice at the hands of the Chilliwack Chiefs.

The 'Backs peppered the Chiefs with 19 shots in the 1st Period, and were rewarded with a pair of goals from Forward Evan Anderson, for a 2-0 advantage after 20 minutes.

Chilliwack took over the game in the 2nd, with a goal in the opening :90, followed by three more markers before the end of the Period, for a 4-2 Chiefs lead; over a Salmon Arm team that took a 3-2 loss in Penticton just 24 hours earlier.

While SilverBacks Max Becker, and Nicholas Josephs were able to score in the 3rd Period, the visiting Chiefs scored three more goals of their own, including one into an empty net, for a 7-4 final.

Angus Redmond made 22 saves, in what was his 6th straight start for the 'Backs. Salmon Arm visits Surrey, and Coquitlam next weekend, before ending the season with two games each against the Merritt Centennials, and Penticton Vees.
