Interior Intensity

The Penticton Vees answered last week's pair of defeats at the hands of the SilverBacks, with their own 3-2 win over Salmon Arm, on Friday, at the South Okanagan Events Centre.

SilverBacks Landon Smith and Max Becker had the lone goals for Salmon Arm, as the 'Backs were out-shot 40-20, at the hands of the Interior Division-leading Vees.

Penticton opened the scoring in the 1st Period, with a marker from Riley Alfred, and while the 'Backs were able to even the score early in the 2nd Period, on Smith's 41st goal of the season; the Vees then scored a pair of goals in just :90, for a 3-1 lead.

Max Becker was named the 3rd Star of the game, thanks to his goal in the final minutes of the 2nd Period, but it wasn't enough, as the Vee's Hunter Miska made 7 saves in the 3rd Period to secure the victory.

Salmon Arm's Angus Redmond made 37 saves in the loss, and will likely look for win #11 on the season when the 'Backs host Chilliwack on Saturday.
