Salmon Arm, BC – Salmon Arm Silverbacks broadcaster Tony Trozzo is stepping down from his position as Director of Broadcasting & Communications.

Trozzo joined the Silverbacks organization last summer following his graduation from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. He spent the year calling all games on Hockey TV, while also managing all social media platforms.

“First off, I wanted to say thank you to the people of Salmon Arm. Your love and dedication to this team is unmatched. I truly got to live out a childhood dream this year.” Said Trozzo. “To the players, thank you for making me feel like an integral part of this team. Lastly, thank you to the Silverbacks organization for believing in me.  If it was only going to be one year, I am so unbelievably lucky that it was this one.”

“We’d like to thank Tony for his time with the organization. He helped grow our digital & Audio platforms this season and helped support our business operations. We wish Tony the best of luck in his new adventure.” Said Silverbacks General Manager, Brooks Christensen.

With his departure, the ‘Backs have an immediate opening for the position of PxP Broadcaster/Communications Coordinator for the 2023-24 season. Interested candidates should send their resume, demo and references to: opsmanager@sasilverbacks.com.
