The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are excited to share that Taro Hirose has signed a two year entry level contract with the Detroit Red Wings of the NHL.
Taro played two seasons for the Silverbacks 121 points in just 116 games and picking up five points in six playoff games. In his rookie season with the team, putting up 50 points in 56 games he was named as the rookie year for the Silverbacks. The past three seasons he has played for Michigan State where in 106 games he has 116 points. This season he led the entire NCAA with 50 points in 36 games.
