So, So Close

The Salmon Arm SilverBacks would like to thank all fans, volunteers, staff members, and well-wishers who cast votes on behalf of Salmon Arm in the Kraft Hockeyville competition.

Salmon Arm was officially elminated from competition on Saturday night, after losing to Sylvan Lake, Alberta, in the test to see who would make the Finals.

Sylvan Lake will now compete with Kingston, Nova Scotia, for a chance at an NHL Pre-Season game, $100,000 in arena upgrades, and a visit from CBC.

The good news for Salmon Arm hockey fans, is that the Shaw Centre has already secured $50,000 for upgrades, thanks to voters who helped SA to the brink of Hockeyville fame.

The SilverBacks organization would like to wish Sylvan Lake, and Kingston, the best of luck in the finals, while again thanking all those who cast votes for Salmon Arm.
