Silverbacks extend Assistant Coach/Goalie Coach Angus Redmond

Salmon Arm, B.C. – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are happy to announce the extension of Assistant Coach/Goalie Coach, Angus Redmond.

“Getting Angus resigned for the season is a vital part in our organizational success,” said GM and Head Coach, Tyler Shattock. “He has done an outstanding job with our goaltenders and day to day operations. Being able to give our goalies work on a daily basis has helped in their development and has always been a strength of our group as a result.”

Redmond wants to continue the team success he has contributed to, including making the playoffs every season behind the bench and back-to-back Interior Conference Finals.

“I’m excited to be back for another season in Salmon Arm,” said Assistant and Goalie Coach, Angus Redmond. ” We’ve got a good group of new players coming in, and I’m looking forward to helping them develop and continuing to push toward bringing a championship to this great community.”

As a Silverbacks alumni, Redmond will be heading into his fourth season as Goalie Coach with the team and third as an Assistant Coach.

Previous to joining the Silverbacks coaching staff in the 2022-2023 season, Redmond spent time playing pro in the American Hockey League and the East Coast Hockey League. Redmond is no stranger to the Silverbacks and the BCHL, spending four years with the organization before heading on to Michigan Tech in the NCAA.
