Salmon Arm B.C. — The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are excited to announce the addition of 19-year-old forward Cameron Recchi from the North American Hockey League’s Maryland Black Bears.
Recchi, the son of NHL Hall of Famer Mark Recchi, posted 23 points and 100 penalty minutes in 41 games last year for the Black Bears.
“Cameron has an edge to his game and we felt he could be a complimentary piece to our forward group and fit in right away,” Silverbacks general manager Brooks Christensen said. “We look forward to Cameron getting to Salmon Arm and joining us next week!”
Recchi, a dual citizen of the United States and Canada, previously played for the Notre Dame Hounds in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA League, where he scored 21 goals and added 27 assists for 48 points in 44 games during the 2018-19 season. That season, he was teammates with current Silverback Will Lavigne and former Backs’ Luke Mylymok and Coalson Wolford. Recchi added five points during their playoff run, with Notre Dame winning the league championship and qualifying for the Telus Cup, where he also scored one goal in three games.
The Silverbacks would like to welcome Cameron to Salmon Arm!
