Salmon Arm, B.C. – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are pleased to announce that F Ryan Gillespie (03′) has committed to Canisius University for the 2024/25 season.
Gillespie will join the Golden Griffins after spending the past two years as a Silverback. In 76 career BCHL games played so far, the Toronto-born forward has 13 goals and 29 assists for 42 points. Gillespie has also added 10 playoff points in 14 playoff games.
“I’m excited about this new opportunity with Canisius,” said Gillespie. “I felt like it was the right fit for me as a student and hockey player. I am thankful for the Silverbacks and their staff for helping me through this journey.”
