SALMON ARM SILVERBACKS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE BRYDEN MARSH HEADING TO COLLEGE

The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are proud to announce that local player from the 2014-2015 season Bryden Marsh has committed to the UNLV Rebels (ACHA) in Las Vegas, Nevada for the 2015-2016 season.

Marsh, a three year player with the Backs from Salmon Arm was the captain of the Backs last year and became a fan favorite at the Shaw Centre for his hard-hitting in your face  style of play. He was a leader on and off the ice and wore the (C) with pride evrynight.

“We’re very proud of Bryden and his commitment to UNLV. I can’t think of a better person to make an immediate impact on a program. Bryden was a leader and his legacy will always be remembered in Salmon Arm”. Stated Head Coach Brandon West.

We are really excited to have a player with Bryden’s experience in the BCHL, which we consider to be among the top Jr. A leagues in North America. We will look to him to provide leadership both on and off the ice, as well as immediately improve our talent. He is the type of player our program is looking to recruit, as we continue to change our culture, and become one of the top programs in the ACHA.

We want UNLV to be a viable option for players coming out of the BCHL and having a kid like Bryden, a former captain with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks, come to Las Vegas to continue his hockey career is only the beginning of what we hope to achieve in the coming years. Stated GM Zee Khan.
