SALMON ARM, BC: The Salmon Arm Silverbacks will look to take a 2-0 series lead tonight against the Wenatchee Wild. Last night, in the first round’s opening game, the Wild jumped out to a 2-0 lead. The Silverbacks, though, as they have shown all year long, were resilient, scoring three unanswered on two separate occasions. Noah Serdachny got a pair of goals, Nathan Mackie, Simon Tassy, Daniel Panetta, and Zack Smith all found the back of the net in the 6-3 win. Owen Say stopped 20 to pick up the victory.
The Silverbacks and Wild scored a pair of powerplay goals in game one. Panetta’s powerplay goal tied the game at two, which seemed to shift the momentum in the hockey game.
Game two goes tonight at 5:00, and remember, ALL fans under 15 get in FREE. (Must call or visit the Box Office to receive ticket)
