Annual Awards Result

Landon Smith was the biggest winner on Sunday, as the SilverBacks handed out their annual Year-End Awards; it was also a big night for a number of other SilverBacks, including 20 year old players Adam Clark, and Blake Box – who are among a long list of SilverBacks heading to University.

 
Smith, who will share the BCHL's Brett Hull Trophy for most points; won three awards, including Top Scorer, Fan Favourite, and Most Valuable Player.

 
Rookie SilverBacks Cole McCaskill and Connor Brown-Maloski shared the 'Backs Academic Award, while American Forward Taylor Maruya was honoured as the 'Backs Rookie of the Year.
 
2nd year SilverBack Alex Jewell was named as the team's Most Improved Player, while veteran Goaltender Adam Clark was picked as the 'Backs Most Dedicated Player.
 
Rookie Defenceman Andrew Farny was honoured as the Most Sportsmanlike Player, and his fellow D-Man Mitch Ferguson was an easy choice for the 'Backs Best Defenceman Award.
 
Cole McCaskill won another award, this time for Un-Sung Hero; one of the final Awards of the night was a shared Scholarship Award from Arthur's Gem Set Studio, in Salmon Arm, for Brendan and Jeff Kennedy.
 
The 'Backs also presented 20 year old Players Box, Clark and Smith with their jerseys, and want to wish all the best to a number of College-bound players; including 3rd year 'Backs Brendan and Jeff Kennedy, Alex Gillies and Adam Clark
