‘Backs Secure New Voice

The Salmon Arm SilverBacks are very pleased today to announce the hiring of Brett Mix, as Play-by-Play broadcaster for the 2013-2014 campaign.

Brett stepped into the broadcast booth in two recent games against West Kelowna, and after his fine work, the 'Backs are very proud to welcome him into the organization in a very important role; connecting Family and Fans to the smallest details of the game.

Listeners will be happy to know that this is Brett's third broadcasting affiliation with a BCHL team, following previous work with the West Kelowna Warriors and the Williams Lake Timberwolves.

'Backs GM Troy Mick says fans should be excited about the potential of the club's newest broadcaster "We're been very pleased with what we've seen from Brett, he has all the tools to become a main-stay in the BCHL broadcasting community and we're going to do everything in our power to make him feel at home, in the Shaw Centre, and on the road."

Brett has provided brief statement on his hiring, as he prepares to join the team on their road-trip, tomorrow “I am extremely honoured and thankful to Troy Mick for giving me this opportunity to get back doing what I love doing. I look forward to not only broadcasting; but being a part of such this great SilverBacks organization."

SilverBack's broadcasts can be heard on 93.7, the Voice of the Shuswap, each and every time the team is on the road this season, catch Brett, and the 'Backs this Friday when they visit the Nanaimo Clippers at the Frank Crane Arena.
