SALMON ARM, BC- The Salmon Arm Silverbacks have traded Lynden Hanvold and Nic Leggett to the Merritt Centennials as part of the futures deal, completing the Tristan Allen trade back on January 10th from the 2022-23 season.
“Moving Lynden and Nic is the tough part of the business,” said GM Brooks Christensen. “Both players have left an impact with our organization and we can’t thank them enough for their dedication to the team. When we made the trade at the deadline we knew we would have to give up some pieces this off season and work to structure our defence core with these two impactful players moving on.”
The Kelowna, BC, defenceman Hanvold (’04) dressed for a total of 68 games with the Silverbacks organization over his two seasons with the program. The Kamloops, BC, defenceman Leggett (’05) a first year player for the Silverbacks was seen in 31 games throughout the 2022-23 regular season lineup and posted both a goal and an assist in the Silverbacks’ incredible run in the 2022-23 playoffs.
