Silverbacks sign a young goal scorer; Aaron Van Wie

Salmon Arm, B.C. – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks have signed forward Aaron Van Wie (’06) for the 2024/25 season.

Van Wie put up over two points per game this season playing in the USHS-Prep league with Holderness School, scoring 30 goals and 29 assists for 59 points in 29 games.

“Aaron is a skilled forward who we believe can come in and help us with offensive production,” said Silverbacks GM, Brooks Christensen. “He has a scoring touch that we look for him to come in and do at this level. Along with his offensive sense, he competes hard, is a good skater, and look forward to having him a part of our program.”

The St. Louis, Missouri product is committed to the University of Maine.

“I am extremely excited to join Salmon Arm and be a part of a great hockey team,” said Van Wie. “I look forward to developing as a hockey player and contributing to the team in any way I can.”

The Silverbacks would like to welcome Aaron and his family to the organization and to Salmon Arm!
