Salmon Arm, B.C. – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks welcomed in division rival, the West Kelowna Warriors.
Trading goals in the first period, the game is tied after one. A hot start to the game, Landon Mackie rips the puck top corner from the right face-off dot in the opening minute, his 16th of the season, 1-0. On the powerplay, past the halfway mark, Ruslan Jamaldinov snipes the blocker side to tie the game up 1-1.
Another couple of goals in the second period has the game tied up. Re-taking the lead, Landon Mackie finishes off a brief breakaway for his second of the game, 17th of the year, 2-1 Silverbacks. Not going away, Max Dinneen ties the game up, completing a two-on-one rush, 2-2.
West Kelowna is able to score the game winner in the third period. At the 12:18 mark, Blake Burke sneaks behind the defenceman and takes the outlet feed and scores on the breakaway, giving the Warriors their first lead of the night, 3-2. Pulling the goalie in the final two minutes, the Silverbacks are unable to tie up the game.
Daniel Dirracolo stopped 28/31 in the loss.
