Say, Serdachny Honourable Mentions for POTW

Burnaby, B.C. — Salmon Arm Silverbacks goaltender Owen Say and forward Noah Serdachny were each named honourable mentions for the BC Hockey League’s Player of the Week on Monday.

Say won all three starts last week, beating West Kelowna twice (4-3 on April 8 and 5-3 on April 11) and Vernon once (2-1 April 10). In the three games he totalled 95 saves on 102 shots (.931 SV%) and recorded a 2.29 goals-against-average. The London, Ont. native was named the second star once and the third star once last week.

Serdachny has started his BCHL career with an impressive six-game point streak. Last week, he totalled seven points in four games, on three goals and four assists. He had two goals on April 7 versus Vernon, a three-point game the next day and an assist in each game over the weekend. He was named the game’s second star on April 7.
