Salmon Arm, BC – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are thrilled to announce the appointment of Jason Hanna as their new Western Canada Scout.
Hanna’s hockey journey began in Sydney, Nova Scotia where he excelled as a AAA player and continued to build his career in the Maritime Junior A and Nova Scotia Junior B leagues. Transitioning to coaching after his playing days, Hanna has dedicated over 20 years to developing young hockey talent. His extensive coaching career includes roles as an assistant coach at AAA bantam and AAA midget levels, seven seasons in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL), and the past six seasons with the Edge U18 prep team, where he has celebrated back-to-back league championships.
“I am extremely excited to join such a great organization in Salmon Arm,” said Hanna. “I am looking forward to working with Tyler, Josh, and Angus to help recruit players to help the team reach the goal of hoisting the Fred Page Cup.”
Hanna’s appointment underscores the Silverbacks’ commitment to strengthening their scouting network and building a competitive team for the future.
