Salmon Arm, B.C. – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are pleased to announce that G Ryan Grout (07′) has committed to the University of New Hampshire.
The 16-year-old commits to the Wildcats during his first season in the BCHL. In 10 games played with the Silverbacks, Grout has a 7-2-1 record with a 2.24 GAA and a 0.926 SV%. The Calgary, Alberta product spent last season with the Northern Alberta Xtreme U17 Prep team where he had a 10-1 record in 11 games while putting up a 1.81 GAA and a 0.921 SV%.
“Everything about New Hampshire feels like the right place for me to continue my development on and off the ice,” said Grout. “I’m very grateful that Salmon Arm gave me an opportunity to come in as a young goaltender and be challenged to get better every day.”
