Manson Officially A Duck

Former Salmon Arm SilverBack Defenceman Josh Manson has signed a two year, entry-level contract with the Anaheim Ducks, who drafter him in the 6th round of the 2011 NHL Draft.

Manson has played the past three seasons with Hockey East's Northeastern University, posting 28 points over 99 career games.

The Prince Albert, Saskatchewan native potted 71 points over two seasons in his time with the SilverBacks, including 9 points over 14 Playoff games during the 'Backs 2010-11 run.

The Ducks have not yet released any further details on the contract, and it's not known where Manson will report too, as Northeastern's season has just recently come to an end.

The SilverBacks would like to congratulate Josh on this great news, while wishing him all the best of luck in his future with the Ducks organization.
