Luke Drury commits to Silverbacks for 2024-25

Salmon Arm, B.C. – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are pleased to announce the signing of forward Luke Drury (’05) for the 2024-25 season.

Drury played with the Silverbacks during the 2023-24 preseason, suiting up for three games while getting one assist. Last year, the 18-year-old played with the Brunswick School in the United States High School Prep program (USHS-Prep) where he scored 7 goals and added in 13 assists for 20 points in 28 games. He is returning to Brunswick for his final year of school.

“Luke brings an element of compete and energy that we feel every team needs,” said Silverbacks GM, Brooks Christenson. “During his time in Salmon Arm, he earned everything. He’s a great character kid off the ice and fits our culture perfectly. We are looking forward to having him back in a Silverbacks jersey after his Prep season is done this year.”

The Rye, New York product is committed to play for Brown University.

“I’m very excited to join the Silverbacks for the 2024-25 season,” said Drury. “After spending some time with the team this preseason, it was an easy decision and I am excited to return to Salmon Arm.”

The Silverbacks would like to welcome Luke and his family to the Silverbacks organization and to Salmon Arm.
