SALMON ARM, BC- The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are thrilled to announce the commitment of 2004-born forward Hayden Stavroff for the upcoming 2022-23 BCHL season.
This season the Ohio native is playing at Culver Military Academy Prep. Stavroff has 18 points in 11 games played so far this season.
This is his third season overall with the Academy, the first two years being played with the 16U AAA team, where he amassed 104 points in just 67 games.
Stavroff got a chance to represent USA Hockey this season on Team White at the USA-S17 tournament; he recorded two assists in four games.
Stavroff talked about why he chose Salmon Arm for his next step in development.
“First off, I’m proud to be a part of the Salmon Arm Silverbacks organization,” said Stavroff. “The Silverbacks do a great job at developing players for the next level and thought my playstyle would fit well with how the Silverbacks play, and they have outstanding facilities with a great coaching staff,” added Stavroff.
Head Coach and Assistant GM Tyler Shattock spoke on the Stavroff commitment.
“We are very excited to have Hayden join the Silverbacks next year. He’s an exciting player that knows how to create offence. He’ll fit in nicely with the group we are bringing back next year,” said Shattock.
