The Salmon Arm SilverBacks are inviting all fans to Sunday’s game at the Shaw Centre, as the boys host the West Kelowna Warriors; and a Skate With The 'Backs immediately following the contest.
Puck drops at 3pm on Sunday Afternoon, meaning the skate with the hockey club will likely begin just after 5pm, allowing for families to jump on the ice and still get home for dinner.
‘Backs GM and Head Coach Troy Mick says fans always enjoy the opportunity to get on the ice with their favourite players after a hard fought game “We like to do this a few times a year, and we always seem to have a great turnout, it’s not just the young fans, either, we see fans of all ages get involved when we do this and it really seems to go a long way for both players and fans.”
The skate will kick off just minutes after the ‘Backs finish Sunday’s game; and you can feel free to bring your stick if you like.
The ‘Backs would also like to remind fans that Saturday’s game is our Five Hole for Food Challenge, and that non-perishable food donations are welcomed; and yes they will stay within our community.
