Backs Trade Adams to Warriors

Salmon Arm, B.C. — The Salmon Arm Silverbacks have traded 1999-born forward Trevor Adams to the West Kelowna Warriors in exchange for future considerations.

Adams, a Michigan native, has played the past two BCHL seasons for the Silverbacks, recording 26 points in his rookie season in 2017-18 and then 40 points last year. This season, he had one goal in three games.

“This was a tough decision for us. He’s been a great Silverback for a better part of two years now,” Silverbacks assistant coach and assistant general manager Tanner Cochrane said. “It was just a situation where we thought Trevor would be able to showcase his talent in West Kelowna a little more: get a better role and be able to showcase himself better to get an NCAA scholarship…We felt this was going to be the best for our team and for Trevor moving forward.”

The Silverbacks would like to thank Adams for his dedication to the Silverbacks and wish him well with his new organization.

The Silverbacks next home game is Friday, September 20 at 7 p.m. against the Powell River Kings at the Shaw Centre. For tickets to that or any other game this season, click here.
