Scott Miner commits to the University of Alaska-Fairbanks

Salmon Arm, B.C. – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are pleased to announce that Defenceman Scott Miner (’05) has committed to the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.

“I’m very excited and proud to have the opportunity to be apart of the University of Alaska-Fairbanks,” said Miner. “I think it’s going to be an amazing experience up there and I’ve heard nothing but great things about the school. I would like to thank all my teammates, coaches, advisors, and especially my family who have supported me throughout this journey.”

Miner is in his first season with the Silverbacks where the 19-year-old has one goal and five assists in 16 games so far. Before joining the purple and white, the Winnipeg born defenceman spent two seasons in the NAHL, playing in 107 games while scoring 11 goals and 27 assists for 38 points.
