Winning Ways Continue At Home

Coming off a 5-3 win on Friday in Trail, the 'Backs looked to continue to stay hot; back at home, as they ended of this Weekend's home and home with the Smoke Eaters.

Salmon Arm's top line lead the the squad to victory, as Landon Smith, Evan Anderson, and Alex Gillies all scored goals in a 3-1 win.
The SilverBacks top-line in the BCHL remained red-hot early, opening the scoring as Evan Anderson beat Dustin Nickel, 15 seconds before Alex Gillies got his 20th from Smith and Anderson to make it 2-0 Salmon Arm, after one Period.

In the 2nd, Trail had the game’s first 2 power-plays, and despite going 0 for 2, got the lone goal of the 2nd Period, cutting the lead to 2-1 from at the Shaw Centre when Colby Livingstone got his 1st BCHL goal.

In the final period of play, the Smoke Eats came close to tying the contest, but Adam Clark stood tall for his 2nd consecutive victory in as many nights; making 25 saves for the Backs in the 3-1 victory. Landon Smith, the BCHL's leading scorer, added an empty net marker late in the Evening for good measure.

The Silverbacks are now 15-10-1-4 on the year, and improve to 9-4-0-2 on Home Ice.

Salmon Arm hosts a pair of games next Weekend, as the Langley Rivermen visit on Saturday, before West Kelowna stops in at the Shaw Centre on Sunday.
