Call it reacquainting for the SilverBacks and Trail Smoke Eaters; who face-off against one another for the first two times this season, starting Thursday in Salmon Arm, and Friday at the Cominco Arena in Trail.
Both teams will carry added motivation into Thursday's contest in Salmon Arm; as the 'Backs are looking to rebound from Saturday's disappointing loss to the Vernon Vipers; while the Smoke Eaters come to the Shuswap with three former SilverBacks on their roster; including Travis Stephens, Braden Pears and Dustin Nikkel.
A quick peek at the Interior Division standings shows that not much holds the two teams apart; as Salmon Arm sits in the 4th spot, just one point ahead of the Smoke Eaters, who find themselves at the bottom of the Division, by just a single point, with Vernon sitting in 5th spot; between the two clubs.
This weekend will provide the 'Backs a good look at the Smoke Eaters, and they will need it, too, as the two teams face-off against each other an incredible four times in just 21 days during the month of November.
The 'Backs will return home from Trail on Friday Night, with a few days of rest ahead of them; as the Thanksgiving weekend hits full swing and the SilverBacks schedule takes a brief pause.
