Trevor Adams Commits to Air Force

The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are excited to announce forward Trevor Adams has committed to join Air Force Academy for the 2020-2021 season. Last season the Muskegon, Michigan native had 13 goals and 13 assists in 55 games for the Silverbacks. In the playoffs he produced at a point per game rate with one goal and three assists in four games against Vernon.

“We are thrilled with the news that Trevor Adams has accepted a scholarship offer from the Air Force Academy.” Said GM and Head coach Scott Atkinson. “Trevor has earned this commitment through hard work and a determined effort to get better.  He is a very skilled player, but more importantly he is an individual of high character, who is also an outstanding student.  We are proud to call Trevor a Silverback, and know that he will be a strong contributor to the Air Force program in the years to come.”

“I chose to commit to the United States Air Force Academy because of not only their great hockey program but because of the academics as well being one of the best places in the country to further my education. I am beyond excited and it is a dream come true for me to play Division 1 college hockey especially at a program as successful as the Air Force Academy. There are so many people I could thank for getting me to where I am today but I really would like to thank my coaches here in Salmon Arm and everyone in the Silverbacks organization for all they’ve done and most of all my parents for all the sacrifices they have made throughout my career to help me get to where I am at,” added Trevor Adams.

Come see Trevor and his teammates as they take to the ice next week for training camp here at the Shaw Centre. The team has home exhibition games Saturday August 25th against the West Kelowna Warriors, and Friday August 31st against the Vernon Vipers.
