Our Team. Our Town. Our Game.
It was a beautiful Shuswap night at our awesome outdoor venue of Salmon Arm's City Hall! We had a record attendance of 160+. The super fans came out, including our volunteers, many families, some awesome corporate sponsors and members of the community to enjoy the event – especially the BBQ and the 'Donate & Dunk' for our Silverback Scholarship Fund.
Thanks to those who braved the dunk tank: Mayor Cooper, GM Troy Mick, Head Coach Brandon West & last minute addition 'Backs' player Jack Berezan! We are pleased to announce the Salmon Arm Silverbacks raised $795 for the Scholarship Fund!
A BIG THANK YOU to: Mayor Nancy Campbell & The City of Salmon Arm, Askew's Foods (Steve @ Downtown Askews & CEO Dean who served up a great feast), Apple Auto Glass for the Dunk Tank, Warner Rentals for giving us a 'lift', Lana Fitt of EcDevSoc for the extra tents, and the many who did the extras that made the event a success.
We are already planning to add more activities for the kids next year! So great to see fans from 2-82 there!
