Salmon Arm, B.C. – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks hit the road to face the West Kelowna Warriors.

Each team finds the back of the net in the first period. To start off the frame, the teams traded penalties and were both able to kill them off successfully. At the 15:34 mark, the Warriors get on the board when Sam LeDrew tips in a point shot for the 1-0 lead. Answering back quickly is the Silverbacks when Ryan Philbrick leads up a two-on-one rush, passing it back-door for a beautiful tip-in goal by Grant Dillard for his first career BCHL goal, making it 1-1.

The game stays tied after a physical second period. Right off the opening draw, Riley Ashe and Logan Flint drop the gloves and get five minutes for fighting and a ten minute fighting misconduct. About halfway through the period, Grant Dillard gets called for a four minute double minor for kneeing. On the four minute penalty kill, the ice gets evened up for half of it as Jack Sadowski gets an interference call. To end the period, the Silverbacks are unable to capitalize on a Nathan Drapeau tripping penalty.

West Kelowna finds the back of the net in the third period for the win. In the first six minutes, Sam LeDrew grabs the loose puck and skates in to a good shooting position and snipes it to the far post for the 2-1 lead. The Silverbacks pulled the goalie in the final minute and a half and even had a brief six-on-four when Jack Farrell closes his hand on the puck and takes a penalty. The Silverbacks could not get the tying goal, despite outshooting the Warriors 29-16 in the game.

Andrew Ballantyne takes the loss, stopping 14/16.
