Silverbacks Sign Jayden Grier

Salmon Arm, BC – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are pleased to announce the signing of St. Sebastian School 03’ forward, Jayden Grier for the upcoming 2022/23 BCHL season.

The 18-year-old from Needham, MA, put up some impressive numbers last year with St. Sebastian of the Independent School League (ISL). He tallied 14 goals, and added 13 assists for 27 points in 23 games.

While making the move from St. Sebastian, Grier is ready to make an immediate impact for the Silverbacks this year.

“I’m very excited to be joining the Silverbacks this season. I was there for Top 40 Camp and everything from the rink, to the players, and staff was amazing. Couldn’t be more excited for this season to start.”

Silverbacks General Manager, Brooks Christensen says he is looking forward to adding a player such as Grier to the lineup.

“Jayden is a big frame power forward who has a powerful shot & release. We will look forward to seeing Jayden bring a high compete and physicality to his game and believe he can contribute offensively around the net.”

Jayden is also the son of former NHL forward, and current General Manager of the San Jose Sharks, Mike Grier.

Please join us in welcoming Jayden and his family to the organization.
