Striking early, the Silverbacks grab the lead in the first period. Continuing to build the lead in the second period. The Silverbacks start the period going scoreless on back-to-back powerplays. Salmon Arm dominates the second period, grabbing full control, out shooting the Oilers, 22-6 in the middle frame.

Holding on to the lead, the Silverbacks solidify the shutout in the third period. The Oilers were rearing for a comeback in the final frame but Daniel Dirracolo stands strong as the Silverbacks are out shot, 18-9. In the final 3 seconds, Landon Mackie pots the empty net to make it 3-0.
