Salmon Arm, B.C. — The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are pleased to announce forward Luke Mylymok has been invited to try out for Team Canada West for the upcoming World Jr. A Challenge.
The 18-year-old, who grew up in Wilcox, Sask., was recently added to the selection camp roster and will join 43 other players from the BCHL, AJHL, SJHL, MJHL and SIJHL in their bid to make the final cut for the international tournament. The BCHL is the most represented, with 24 players from the league invited.
Mylymok currently has two goals in six games since joining the Backs from the USHL.
Try-outs will take place at Markin MacPhail Centre at WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park in Calgary from Dec 1-3, with the tournament running from December 7-15 in Dawson Creek, B.C. The annual tournament features two Canadian clubs, Russia, the United States and the Czech Republic.
