Silverbacks hire a new Athletic Therapist

Salmon Arm, B.C. – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are pleased to announce the hiring of Kara Fulawka, as the team’s Athletic Therapist for the upcoming 2024-25 season.

“We’re thrilled to add Kara to our staff,” said Silverbacks GM, Brooks Christensen. “She’s a professional and takes pride in her work. Our player’s safety is important to our organization and having someone with the experience and qualifications was important in going through the hiring process.”

Kara is familiar with the BCHL after spending last season with the Prince George Spruce Kings. Before joining the league, she spent two seasons working with RINK Training Center/Testify Performance in Winnipeg.

“I’m looking forward to bringing my Junior hockey experience to Salmon Arm,” said Fulawka. “I think Brooks, the coaches, and I will be a cohesive team that motivates the boy’s success on and off the ice.”

Kara also has experience in other sports, serving as the Athletic Therapist for FC Manitoba, Team Manitoba Lacrosse, and volunteering at the 2023 Canada Winter Games.
