Salmon Arm, B.C. – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks hosted the Prince George Spruce Kings for the only matchup this season.

The Silverbacks grab the lead in the first period. While on a four-on-four with Scott Miner and Trent Ballentyne in the box for some rough stuff after a whistle, the Captain, Maddux Martin takes advantage of the open ice and absolutely snipes one perfectly in the top corner for his 18th of the season. The Silverbacks had one powerplay chance to end the frame but could not convert.

No scoring in the second period as the Silverbacks remain in the lead. Two more powerplay opportunities in the middle frame for the Silverbacks but yet again unable to capitalize. Facing their first penalty of the game, Tanner Walos gets an interference penalty, but are able to kill it off.

In the third period, both teams are able to score but the Silverbacks grab the win. Seven minutes in, the Silverbacks are pressing for an insurance goal when Keifer Miller finishes off a scramble in front for his 8th goal of the season, making it 2-0. With five minutes left, Dakota MacIntosh gets sent to the box for holding. As the period is about to expire, Trent LeDrew snaps one from the point that gets through traffic and into the back of the net, making it 2-1. Shortly after, the Spruce Kings pull their goalie looking to tie up the game. With a defensive zone faceoff, Maddux Martin wins it back cleanly to Tucker Shedd who launches it down the ice into the empty net for his first goal as a Silverback and 7th overall.

Daniel Dirracolo gets the win stopping 23/24 shots faced.
