Silverbacks extend stay at Shaw Centre

Salmon Arm, BC – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are pleased to announce that they have come to terms on a multi-year contract with The Shuswap Recreation Society and the City of Salmon Arm to keep Silverbacks Hockey at the Shaw Centre until 2026.

“As an organization we are very happy to come to a long-term agreement with the City of Salmon Arm & Shuswap Rec Society.” Said Silverbacks General Manager, Brooks Christensen. “We’d like to thank Darby & David along with the rest of the Shaw Centre staff for their continued support and strong working relationship. The Shaw Centre is a great facility that we are proud to call home.”

The Silverbacks have called the Shaw Centre home since they entered the league back in 2001/02.

“The Shuswap Recreation Society, in conjunction with the City of Salmon Arm, are happy to have reached an agreement that will see the Salmon Arm Silverbacks playing hockey at the Shaw Centre until 2026.” Said Arena Manager, David Knight. “We are very happy to continue in this partnership and providing hockey entertainment to the residents and hockey fans of Salmon Arm. The current relationship between the Society and the Silverbacks ownership group and staff is strong and we look forward to continuing this relationship into the future. We would like to thank Brooks Christensen and the rest of the Silverbacks staff for their continued hard work in putting out a great hockey product that will surely have the community cheering “Go Backs Go” for years to come.”
