Salmon Arm, B.C. – The Salmon Arm Silverbacks have signed defenseman Scott Miner (’05) for the 2024/25 season.
Miner spent last year in the NAHL with the Chippewa Steel, where the 6’0″, 183-pound defenseman put up 30 points (7G,23A) in 59 games played. In total, the 19-year-old played two seasons in the NAHL, scoring 38 points in 107 games played.
“Scott is a strong puck-moving defenseman that we feel with his experience will help the left side of our back end,” said Silverbacks GM, Brooks Christensen. “We’re thrilled to add him and get him into our lineup this fall.”
Before joining the NAHL, the Winnipeg product put up over a point-per-game, tallying 66 points in 61 games with the Colorado Thunderbirds 16U AAA team.
“I’m thrilled to get the opportunity to join the Silverbacks and play for such a well-respected organization,” said Miner. “I can’t wait to get out to camp and meet my teammates. I think it’s going to be a great fit. I’m hungry to win and want to help bring a championship to Salmon Arm.”
The Silverbacks would like to welcome Scott and his family to the organization and to Salmon Arm!
