Silverbacks Acquire Welsh For Futures

SALMON ARM B.C.: The Salmon Arm Silverbacks have acquired '04 forward Connor Welsh from the USHL Omaha Lancers in exchange for future considerations.

The New York native played 48-games with the Lancers and Sioux City Musketeers last year and posted 4-goals and 4-assists for 8-points. The 5-foot-11, 165 pound forward has already committed to NCAA's Boston College.

“This is another big addition to our forward group," said Silverbacks GM Brooks Christensen. "Our staff has followed Connor with his time in the USHL and have been impressed with his style of play and believe he will fit in along with our other additions in helping build a strong offensive lineup."

Welsh says he looks forward to suiting up for the Silverbacks this season.

“I couldn’t be more excited to be joining the Silverbacks next season, I have heard nothing but great things about the organization and the city of Salmon Arm. Can’t wait to get started!”

Please join us in welcoming Connor and his family to the Salmon Arm Silverbacks organization.
