Mike Bois Added to Hockey Operations Staff

The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are excited to announce that Mike Bois has been added to the 2018-2019 hockey operations staff as an Athletic Therapist. Mike was with the West Kelowna Warriors for eight seasons winning the RBC Cup with the team in 2016. Receiving his Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology from Lakehead University, Mike then received his Advance Certificate in Athletic Therapy at Mount Royal College.

“I am honoured to be joining the Salmon Arm Silverbacks. I want to thank the ownership group and Brooks for this opportunity. In my previous experience in the BCHL, I have heard nothing but good things from former players and staff about the community of Salmon Arm. I am excited for the opportunity to contribute to this community. I also look forward to working with Scott and the rest of the staff to help the players achieve their goals of reaching the next level and ultimately winning a National Championship,” said Mike Bois.

“The Silverbacks Organization is thrilled to be adding Mike to our staff. Not only does he bring a strong background of knowledge in his field but also experience in the BCHL and an RBC National Championship. We feel that Mike will fit right in with our current staff and be able to assist our players in all their therapy needs moving forward this season.,” said Salmon Arm Sports Inc Operations Manager Brooks Christensen.

This hire fills the position Brett Knowles leaves as he moves to Vancouver with his wife to pursue other opportunities. The team would like to thank Brett for his time with the organization, and wish him the best going forward!

The Silverbacks are on the road tonight taking on the Vernon Vipers and Saturday will head to Chilliwack to take on the league leading Chiefs.
